One way to get results is by reciprocal links. This means that another website will have a link page where your web site appears. People can click on your link and it takes them directly to your web site. You also have a link page set up where the other site's name can be clicked on to go to its site. Alternatively, you can have one-way linking where their web site only appears on your link page. Linking also helps the page rank of your web site. Page rank measures not only how many links point to a web site, but the "quality" of the sites providing the links. I use the LinkMachine. I have been quite pleased with the results. Best of all, the LinkMachine is free and easy to use.

You can keep track of your link popularity by downloading the Link Popularity Check. This free tool will show you how many links your website and/or blog are getting. You can see the results of all the work you are doing as your link popularity grows. This will help you persevere with your home business and give you incentive not to give up.

Blogging

Another way to get results for your home business is by blogging. A blog is an online publication where you post your thoughts and business articles. At the bottom of each article you provide a resource box to direct the readers to your web site. Make sure you also have a link on your web site going to your blog. If you have interesting articles and information on your blog, potential customers will return repeatedly. Do not forget to "ping" your blog each time you post your articles and information. Pinging your blog will alert blog search engines that new material has been added to your blog. A popular pinging service is pingomatic.
