Drop Ship and eBay, The Perfect Combination
By David McGimpsey
Imagine you want to open your own bricks and mortar department store. How much money do you need?
You tell your friend and he offers you an empty building in the best part of town. You ask how much rent he wants and he says, "Don't worry, it's free for as long as you need it." Now you have the premises, no money down, any money to spend.
You call the credit card company. You ask how much will it cost for merchant facilities. They say, "We will give them to you for free, just give us a small bit of money when you sell something."
This process goes on for some time.
Now you have a rent-free department store, credit card facilities and staff that will work for nothing. All you need is stock. This will be hard because the department store is big and you do not have much money.
No Problem.
You find some wholesalers that will loan you display stock. They even let you pay for each order after you make the sale, and they will handle customer delivery for you. What nice guys! It does not get much better than this.
Then you wake up.
If only life was really like the dream, you just had. Wait a minute, it is.
You can do all this online. In fact, you could have your own online department store up and running in a few short hours.
In addition, it gets better. The customers are already out there looking for you. No worrying about location for you.
This is how it works:
1. Set up an eBay account.
2. Link your eBay account to a PayPal account.
(So far, we have not spent anything, but we already have our premises in the best part of town and merchant facilities.)
3. Locate some wholesale drop ship companies.
4. Create your eBay listings and your department store is complete (you probably already have customers).
Life is simple after all.
