There is research stating that potential customer follow-up occurs 5 to 7 times before closing a sale online. If you have just one page that pitches your product, it will not be good enough.

So how do you actually follow up with your potential customers online? Usually, most people get their potential customers to fill in their personal information; like full name and email address first

If you do not capture your potential customers' information, when they do not buy on their first visit to your sale page, you may lose the opportunity to contact them in the future.

So do not pitch your product right away. Tell your customers you have some free information or reports for them, and they will need to fill in their personal information to access or download them.

If your potential customers are interested, they will be willing to give you their personal information, as long as you guaranteed their privacy.

Observe, it will be extremely important to get their email addresses so you can fulfill the research statistic of 5 to 7 follow-ups before closing a sale online.

It is ok that they are not interested in a particular product, at present, you may be selling to them now. You can always sell them other products in the future, as long as you can contact them.

You can also further segment your mailing list into two groups. The first group is "Potential Buyers". The second group is "People who have already bought something from you".

The first group consists of your existing customers where repeat sales are highly possible. As for the second group, you know that you will have to persuade them more often in order for them to buy from you.

In this way, you can send two types of emails to target the two different groups to achieve the best-targeted results.
